Despite its brief window, Interstellar performed well during its initial run, grossing over Rs. 2 crore during weekdays.

In response to overwhelming fan demand, Warner Bros. has decided to bring Interstellar back to IMAX theatres across India. As per sources the film, which initially re-released on February 7 for a limited one-week run, had to be pulled on February 14 to make way for new releases, including Chhaava and Captain America: Brand New World, both of which also had IMAX showings.

Despite its brief window, Interstellar performed well during its initial run, grossing over Rs. 2 crore during weekdays. However, a segment of moviegoers who missed out on the film expressed their dissatisfaction online, arguing that a one-week run for such a high-demand movie wasn’t sufficient. Taking this feedback into consideration, Warner Bros. decided to bring the film back to IMAX theatres.

Both Interstellar and Dune: Part Two will share IMAX screen time across the country, but the films will only be available for one week. After March 21, Snow White will take over the IMAX slots.
