NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh has announced that PharmaCare will be fully implemented if his party forms the next government. Singh stated that the NDP government will expand PharmaCare to cover the 100 most prescribed drugs, including painkillers, antibiotics, and other essential medicines, ensuring that people will no longer have to pay out of pocket for these medications.

Singh made these comments while in Vancouver this morning, where he was rallying support for the NDP candidate in Vancouver-Kingsway.

He highlighted that during the NDP's previous term in a minority government, the party introduced key programs like PharmaCare and Dental Care. Singh emphasized that, if given the necessary mandate, the NDP will build on these successes and deliver even greater benefits for Canadians.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have arrested three individuals who illegally crossed into Canada from the United States. The arrests were made late Wednesday night in the Montérégie region of Quebec. According to RCMP officials, two men and a woman were spotted crossing the border near the Trout River sector around midnight and were apprehended near Godmanchester, Quebec, approximately 20 kilometres from the U.S. border with New York.
