Today, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, the acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, visited the bereaved family to offer condolences.

In a tragic incident, Gurpreet Kaur, an Amritdhari Gursikh woman, was murdered by unidentified assailants in Kang village of the Khadoor Sahib constituency, Punjab. The crime came to light when the deceased’s son returned home from school and discovered the situation.

Today, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, the acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, visited the bereaved family to offer condolences. Speaking on the occasion, the Jathedar expressed deep concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab. He criticized the police administration, claiming that a significant portion of it is preoccupied with catering to political leaders, leaving ordinary citizens feeling unsafe.

Meanwhile, Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia condemned the incident, stating that murder of a mother in front of her one-year-old daughter highlights the alarming state of insecurity in the region.
