A spokesperson for United Conservative Party leadership candidate Leela Aheer says her personal and public social media accounts have been hacked.

Aheer's campaign manager says the member of legislative assembly who represents the Chestermere-Strathmore constituency in Alberta is devastated.

The hacker is promoting child exploitation and nudity on her accounts.

Aheer's team says it is trying to figure out how to retrieve her accounts from the hacker.
