Surrey RCMP has launched a campaign to prevent children and teenagers from getting into the gang lifestyle.
It consists of a video showing a convicted murderer with a woman whose son was brutally murdered in the Surrey Six case. Starting this week, the video will be shown in Surrey schools at the district's request.
It aims to highlight the harsh realities of the gang lifestyle and its far-reaching consequences. According to Inspector Ryan Element, seeing the stories of these people directly involved in gang violence will make the youth and community aware of its negative effects.
The video was created by the Surrey Gang Enforcement Team to educate the city's children about the dangers of the gang lifestyle and shed light on its harsh realities. In this video, the life of former gangster Mindi Bhander along with gangster Eileen Mohan is also mentioned.
