Smith says critics of the report are trying to control the narrative and that she doesn't want to see ``contrarian voices'' shut out when reviewing pandemic response measures.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says she's not sure which recommendations from a controversial new COVID-19 report her government will implement. Doctors have slammed the $2-million review by a government-appointed panel that calls for limits on COVID-19 vaccines and for health professionals not to be punished for promoting alternative treatments.

Smith says critics of the report are trying to control the narrative and that she doesn't want to see ``contrarian voices'' shut out when reviewing pandemic response measures. She says getting those perspectives is needed in order tomake good decisions.

Alberta Medical Association president Dr. Shelley Duggan, as well as the Canadian Medical Association, have said the report is anti-science and spreads misinformation.

Health Minister Adriana LaGrange's office previously declined to say whether the provincial government will follow through on the report's recommendations.

Trudeau set to visit King Charles before trip home

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau planned to meet with King Charles today before leaving London for Ottawa. Trudeau was in London for a weekend security summit, making Canada the only non-European nation represented in talks on how to ensure a possible Ukraine ceasefire actually holds. Analysts say Trudeau's visit was meant to maintain Canada's role in the transatlantic alliance, despite U.S. President Donald Trump pulling back from NATO and blaming Ukraine for Russia's invasion. Trudeau said he would raise matters with the King that are most important to Canadians, adding that Canada's sovereignt

During the discussion, Trump accused Zelensky of playing with the lives of millions and warned that he was playing with the possibility

Blaming Punjab for Delhi's Pollution is Ridiculous: Piyush Goyal

Union Minister Piyush Goyal has strongly criticized the idea of holding Punjab farmers responsible for Delhi's pollution. Speaking at the Invest India program, he described the claim as completely absurd and wrong. Goyal expressed his surprise at those making such claims. He questioned how pollution from stubble burning by farmers, located 500 km away, could reach Delhi. The minister clarified that while he does not encourage stubble burning, it is incorrect to blame Punjab farmers for Delhi’s pollution. The Union Minister for Commerce and Industry emphasized that smoke from construction ac

The B.C. government, led by Premier David Eby, will present the provincial budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year on March 4. This budget will mark the first presented by the new Finance Minister, Brenda Bailey.
